Primitive Folk Art Painting and Tim Holtz

I have these nice chalk boards that finally came to use. Woke up this morning in a Primitive Folk Art mood and this is what came out of it... FUN...

Other than that I am NOT putting together Ikea furniture today but trying to finish my studio makeover. Tomorrow I head out of town so I feel like I need to get it done before I leave.

Have you seen Tim Holtz demos online (free) ? they are so inspiring you have to take a peek... He creates the most amazing grungy stuff...

I have learned so much from Tim Holtz's videos. He is a nice guy too. At least he seems to be. I emailed him and asked if I could use a photo of his Mona Lisa Journal cover on my journal that I was making for myself and he said SURE!

I love the chalkboard painting too! I have an old one that I've been wanting to paint on but can't decide what I want to paint. I want it to be perfect...like yours. :)
Have a nice trip!
(sorry about the polka dots.) ;)

Another Tim Holtz fan!!! Isn't he just the best?! And he makes his art look so easy... yet something always gets lost in translation when I give it a go, doesn't seem as grungy *sigh*
Love your folk art, the colours are so happy :D
Take care & have a great weekend. x
