Fun Art challenge...

I just love the art challenges by Awfully Big Art Adventure

This time around the ones of us taking on the challenge were given a nice image to work with... this is what I made out of it... using everything I could find in my studio. I did a gel transfer to the image and added paint stiks, melted wax and melted crayons since the iron was already hot.

I think I do better work when my desk looks like this... so everything is at hand... or is that just and excuse to not clean up.

Here are some pictures from my studio this morning...just some things that make me smile while I sip my Saturday morning coffee alone in my favorite place...

You've given the image an almost "ghostly" feel - and I love how you've sort of just thrown everything at it! The result is just great - glad to have you with us on the ABAA challenge!

Wow its great , im so excited at all these wonderful takes on my aunts picture. I agree with rosie it has a spooky feel to it but i like that, after all its a very old photo. I always work best when everything is spread all over the desk too , thank you so much for showing me what you have created, Jaqi

I just wanted to say, whenever I clean my work surface (not all that often ;) it seems like something is missing! I really 'get' where you're coming from :)

Luv your approach to this challenge. The complete opposite to mine - as I had no clearing up to do at all!
