FUN FUN FUN.....

The art show was wonderful but i only have one picture to show for it....and it is on my iphone...I will figure out how to get it out of there and onto my blog any day now.

Today I am hooked on making inchies....these fun to make 1" squares decorated collage style. Tomorrow in my spare time:) I am making them with fabric!!! eBay is full of sellers selling these little collage sheets with loads of images. You can spend the whole day looking for the perfect ones. That is it for tonight, more later.

Back on Track

Back on track after some weeks of feeling awful.... Tomorrow is the art show and I feel truly blessed to be a part of this show since there are so many talented artists shown at the same time. I will take plenty of pictures and post them very soon. Now I have to study Van Gogh, I have a 2Nd grade class I am teaching on Monday and i don't feel very ready at all. Seems like I don't much care for Van Gogh and how "fun"is he to talk about to 2nd graders??? Not very much at all :) Oh well, I guess I will learn something new and at the end of the class we all get to do a fun project trying to paint our bedrooms the way Van Gogh did....with no perspective whatsoever.... :)

Getting Ready for the upcoming art show this Sunday March 16, Faculty Scholarship Concert / Art Show, Gunn High School, Palo Alto, CA 3:30 p.m. I will post pictures after the show. For now I am playing with my images on the computer and came up with these clocks....FUN and new to me. I have always thought that using the PC for art is sort of like cheating...no such thing at all...it takes a steady hand and lots of patience to make the mouse move the way you want it to. A whole lot easier to work with your hands :) .

THE FLU :(

OH BOY..... The flu for the very first time followed by some pneumonia and I am the first in line for the flu shot next season. Never been hit with this before I thought I was "fine" without the shot until it hit me. I have misses soooo much I just can't stand it but have to think it could be worse. Spring is here and my windows are wide open today letting the warm breeze inside with the songs from birds and children playing. Now I have to get better soon so I can get out there and enjoy the Spring....

This is about all I came up with this week....just not enough time in the day...

More Artist Trading Cards....I just had to try some more of that new WAX!!! The Trading Card with the little house and Fairy has some wax melted on it...

Circles are wonderdful on Collage Art...the less round the better...and plenty of circles within the circles and little dots inside...

I think most of my art is "Out of This World" and I love it...

Another week more ideas....

This is a Artist Trading Card book....altered playing cards covered in Mod Podge*... Since it is a book the cards are decorated on both sides....

I have never had so much fun as these last two weeks....finding some NEW fun ideas for my Collage Art... I finally gave in and bought some super expensive Bees Wax and it was worth every penny. I am working on a larger piece for an upcoming Art Show here in Palo Alto. The wax is super fun to work with and will add that special touch in the end, you have to try it.

* Mod Podge is my favorite adhesive when it comes to Collage Art...you can find it in any Art supply store or just visit http://www.michaels.com/ . It comes in different finishes, I love the gloss lustre.
